Budgeting and Seminary and Sunday School "stuff"
Budgeting and Seminary and Sunday School "stuff"
On Sunday School... Marsha is a Deacon and Sunday School teacher at Johns Creek Baptist Church in Alpharetta. Teaching Sunday School since 1985, she has created a LOT of handouts (!) and has some fun resources to share with her students.  Marsha believes there is nothing more fun than a Sunday School class where folks talk openly about their faith and interact by asking and answering questions citing their past experiences with Jesus.Â
On Seminary... She has finally taken the plunge and decided to elevate from auditing classes at McAfee School of Theology to officially enrolling to pursue a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry. Who knows what God has in store for the future!Â
On money... From her years facilitating Dave Ramsey Financial Peace classes at Johns Creek Baptist Church with her husband, Matt, Marsha developed a strong desire to help other folks get control of their finances.  After her retirement from corporate and public education, she went through the next level of training with Ramsey Solutions and received her certification as a Ramsey Master Financial Coach.  Â
On teaching... "Teaching" at Peachtree Ridge High School, Norcross High School and Redan High School included serving as Technology Coordinator, Business Education Department chair, classroom teacher, FBLA Advisor, cheerleading sponsor, and golf coach. Sandwiched between her years in public education, she spent 18 years delivering software training in a corporate environment at Unisys Corporation (formerly Burroughs) and HotJobs. Â
On education.. Marsha holds an Education Specialist degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta, as well as a Masters of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Business Education, both from North Georgia College, in Dahlonega. Â
On family and fun... A native of Atlanta, she married Matt in 1988 and they now live in Cumming. Their son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cydney, live in Johns Creek with THE MOST gorgeous and smart grandbaby ever, Blake!
Marsha and Matt love being grandparents! They love to talk to folks about helping them get out of debt. They enjoy church life, reading and boating & floating on Lake Burton with friends and family, and chasing their mini-bernedoodle, Bailey, and Chocolate lab granddog, Oliver.
